The Journals Of KnudRasmussen, Zacharia Kunuk andNorman Cohn's follow up to Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, will open the 26th Atlantic FilmFestival in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Canada-Denmarkcoproduction -- like Atanarjuat shotprimarily in the langage of arctic aboriginal Inuit people -- is the openingnight film at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7. Atanarjuatwas the closing night film at AFF in2001. The 2006 AFF runs from September 14 to 23.

Rasmussen is distributed in Canada by Alliance Atlantis and inthe Nordic region through SF Films. Kunuk and Cohn's Isuma DistributionInternational is handling world sales.
