LosAngeles-based finance, production and distribution company FilmMatesEntertainment has bolstered its library with 39 new titles after completing itsacquisition of the Cayman Islands-based company Camden Equities, World WideMulti-Media, and the Beverly Hills-based Hollywood International Finance.
Among the newtitles are James Toback's thriller Harvard Man starring Sarah Michelle Gellar andAdrien Grenier, and Matthew Bright's thriller Freeway 2 starring Natasha Lyonne, Vincent Galloand Maria Celedino.
"Our focus will be on the finance, production anddistribution of theatrical release projects with budgets of up to $30m as wellas on low budget 'straight-to-DVD' projects," FilmMates executive vicepresident production and distribution Jeanette Buerling said in a statement.
"We also plan to acquirefinished films for domestic and/or foreign distribution. In all cases, projectswith bankable talent attachments will be the keys to our success."
