The 13th Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) has unveiled its line-up, with screenings set for Sebastian Silva’s Chilean comedy La Nana, Adrian Biniez’ drama Gigante, and the US premiere of Alan Jacobs’ gang drama Down For Life.
There are world premieres for Marcos Carnevale’s Down syndrome drama Anita from Argentina, and Roberto Antiagoitia’s Chilean comedy Grado 3.
Other US premieres include director Alberto Durant’s Peruvian film El Premio, Jorge Ramirez Suarez’ Amar from Mexico, and Chus Gutierrez’ Spanish entry Retorno A Hansala.
LALIFF will also present a special screening of the US family drama La Mission directed by Peter Bratt and starring Benjamin Bratt and Jesse Borrego.
The festival will run in Hollywood from October 11-16 and as previously announced will open with Pedro Almodovar’s Broken Embraces.
