Jean Labadie’s Paris-based sales and distribution outfit Le Pacte is launching a library sales division.
Naomi Denamur, formerly of Celluloid Dreams, has been recruited to act as library sales agent for the new branch, which will have its market launch at Mipcom. Film acquisitions executive Thomas Pibarot will also be present at Mipcom looking for pick ups.
Going forward, Denamur will work in close collaboration with Le Pacte’s head of international sales, Elisabeth Perlie.
Le Pacte’s existing catalogue includes its own films as well as newly acquired titles for TV and home video. Its Mipcom line-up includes films from Nanni Moretti, including Sogni D’Oro, Ecce Bombo and I am Self-Sufficient; Mathieu Kassovitz’s Café Au Lait and Tran Anh Hung’s The Scent Of Green Papaya.
Labadie said Le Pacte’s goal “is to continue building strong relationships with our partners while strengthening our line up with high-standard, strong video and television titles.”
