The all-rights deal was negotiated by Mark Musselman for Maximum and by David Dinerstein and Eric Reid for Lakeshore. Maximum has sub-distribution deals with Cinetic Media, IFC, Magnolia Pictures/HDNet Films and Fortissimo Films.
Lakeshore titles included in the deal include upcoming Sundance world premiere Henry Poole Is Here, starring Luke Wilson, Isabel Coixet's Elegy, starring Penelope Cruz and Sir Ben Kingsley, which makes its world premiere at Berlin and the thriller Pathology, starring Milo Ventimiglia.
Meanwhile, Maximum Distribution president Tony Cianciotta has left the company. Bryan Gliserman, long-time president of Odeon Films, a distribution division of Alliance Films, has joined the company as managing director. Before his 14-year tenure at Alliance (and Alliance Atlantis), he held positions at Orion Pictures Canada, Cineplex Odeon, Columbia Pictures Canada, Astral Films Limited and MGM/UA.
Gliserman will oversee the Maximum's Canadian distribution operations as well as act as the point person for the aforementioned suppliers.
