The Dallas Film Society will present former Paramount CEO Sherry Lansing and her husband William Friedkin with Dallas Star Awards.

The ceremony will take place on Apr 12 during the 7th Annual Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF).

“These two individuals represent the marriage of great creativity with solid business acumen in the filmmaking industry,” said Dallas Film Society artistic director James Faust.

“Both Lansing and Friedkin foster and elevate the creativity that is the necessary ingredient for truly great film.”

DIFF will screen a 40th anniversary restored print of Friedkin’s The Exorcist on Apr 13. The festival is scheduled to run from Apr 4-14.
