Blade director Stephen Norrington has signed on to write and direct Legendary Pictures’ supernatural action thriller The Lost Patrol.
Rick Porras and Steven Boyd are producing with Legendary and the company’s Alex Garcia and Dennis Bakriges will oversee the project.
Andrew Hilton initially purchased the project as a spec screenplay.
Norrington said the project, which takes place during the second world war, “hits all of my geek-buttons: hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters.”
His directing credits include The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen and he is currently in development on The Crow.
Legendary’s 2010 releases through Warner Bros are Clash Of The Titans, Due Date and Inception for 2010, with Jack The Giant Killer directed by Bryan Singer scheduled for 2011.
