O’Melveny & Myers has added Lisbeth ‘Libby’ Savill as a partner in its Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice. She joins in August and will be based in their London office.
Savill formerly headed Olswang’s Film and TV team.
“Libby has worked with some of the motion picture industry’s most important and influential players, from major US studios to leading US- and UK-based producers, distributors, and financiers, many of whom already are clients of our firm,” said Joseph Calabrese, chair of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice. “She is known as the best entertainment lawyer in London for good reason, and we are thrilled to have her on our team. Libby will greatly enhance our ability to serve clients seamlessly not only in the UK and Europe, but on a global basis.”
Savill has worked in the industry for 23 years and she has worked on films including The King’s Speech, The Full Monty, Hugo, An Education and the James Bond films.
“Having worked with O’Melveny’s first-rate entertainment team on a number of successful transactions for a number of years, I am excited about uniting our practices,” said Savill. “Our combined strengths and experience will be a great asset to clients doing deals around the world.”
