UK and North American distributor Liberation Entertainment and UK-based producer/distributor Halcyon Releasing have joined forces for the DVD releases of Wristcutters - A Love Story and Deepwater.

Liberation will handle sales and distribution for the features, which were both produced by Halcyon's managing director Chris Coen. Both will be released May 5.

Coen also co-produced the US remake of Funny Games, which will be released by Halcyon and Tartan on April 4 in the UK.

Coen said: 'For Halcyon's first DVD releases I am pleased to team up with such an exciting and energetic company. Liberation is a company with a bright future that felt like a perfect fit for our plans here at Halcyon.'

Goran Dukic's Wristcutters, a dark comedy about the afterlife, stars Patrick Fugit, Shea Whigham, Shannyn Sossamon and Leslie Bibb.

David S. Marfield's Deepwater is a Wyoming-set drama starring Lucas Black, Peter Coyote and Mia Maestro.
