The Locarno film festival has announced its first Industry Days programme, to run August 7-9.
The Industry Days will offer special buyers-only screenings and previews of films screening during the festival. There will also be workshops, roundtables, and various events associated with Europa Distribution and the Open Doors Factory.
Olivier Père, the Festival’s Artistic Director, said: “With these Industry Days, we want to provide Locarno with an additional asset as a platform for professional networking and a meeting place for the independent film industry.”
Nadia Dresti, who Locarno’s Industry Office, said: “This initiative will enhance the range of services developed over the last two years to encourage and facilitate the sales of titles presented at the Festival”.
Locarno runs August 4-14.
