Italian actress is unable to participate so Italian director recruited for jury duty.
Italian film-maker Luca Guadagnino will now serve on the jury for Locarno’s international competition. He replaces Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, who can no longer participate in this year’s festival.
Guadagnino will present his latest documentary Inconscio italiano in Locarno’s Fuori concorso section, and the festival will also screen his 2003 Mundo civilizado in a special programme section.
The other jurors are French actor and director Louis Garrel, German actress Sandra Hüller and Swiss filmmaker Bettina Oberli, with Portuguese producer Paulo Branco as jury president.
