Festival director Sandra Hebron has announced dates for the 54th edition.
The London Film Festival has announced its 54th addition will take place on October 13 – 28 this year.
The deadline for submissions for the next edition is June 25 for short films and July 9 for features. The full programme will be announced in September.
The 2009 edition of the festival, which ran from October 14 -29, hosted193 features and 113 short films from 46 countries, including 15 world premieres. The festival recorded its highest ever audience attendance of over 130,000 filmgoers, according to organisers, boosted by it double screening of opening night premiere of Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox.
The festival also held its first standalone awards ceremony last year, which saw Jacques Audiard’s A Prophet win the inaugural Star Of London award for best film.
