LOTTE EMBARKS ON INTERNATIONAL SALESBy Jean NohLeading Korean exhibitor Lotte Entertainment is getting its feet wet in international sales with A Millionaire's First Love, selling the teen romance to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand at this Filmart, and is currently looking at deals for Hong Kong/China and Vietnam.

The teen romance starring Hyun Bin and Lee Yeon-hee had already been sold by its production company Boram Pictures to Japan a few months ago.

Awarded at the recently wrapped ShoWest confab as Best Exhibitor of the Year, Lotte Entertainment is the second largest exhibitor in Korea with 204 screens in 26 sites.

It started investing in films about a year and a half ago to secure content, and started tentative sales activities at this Filmart in the Korean Film Council's umbrella stand with Holiday and A Millionaire's First Love.
