With one week to go before the start of the market a number of projects are trickling in, led by Lotus Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller Replicas and Dark Was The Night from Premiere Entertainment Group.
Reeves will star in and produce Replicas alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Stephen Hamel.
Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian and DJ Gugenheim serve as executive producers on the story of a neuroscientist desperate to bring back his family after a car accident.
Tanya Wexler will direct from a screenplay by Chad St John and production is set for spring 2015. CAA handles US rights.
Premiere Entertainment Group has acquired the international sales rights to Caliber Media’s Dark Was The Night directed by Jack Heller.
The film premiered at ScreamFest in Los Angeles last week and the story of an ancient woodland evil stars Kevin Durand from TV’s The Strain and Lukas Haas. Rounding out the cast are Bianca Kajlich, Sabina Gadecki, Heath Freeman, Steve Agee and Nick Damici.
Heller produced with his Caliber partner Dallas Sonnier, Sundial’s Stefan Nowicki and Joey Carey and P Street’s Dylan Narang. Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashina and Ross Dinerstein are the executive producers with screenwriter Hisel and his manager Alexander Robb
