Love Child, the romantic comedy starring Donald Sutherland, has begun principal photography in Toronto.

Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures and Toronto-based Alcina Pictures have commenced principal photography in Toronto on the romantic comedy Love Child.
Rossif Sutherland, Rebecca Romijn, Sarah Roemer and Donald Sutherland star in the tale of an ex-con forced to take part in a bank robbery to repay a loan shark.
Risa Bramon Garcia is directing from a screenplay by Michael Melski.
Alcina’s Paul Barkin and Larissa Giroux are producing and Myriad Pictures president, Kirk D’Amico, serves as executive producer and will handle sales at Cannes.
Love Child is being produced with participation from Telefilm Canada, the Ontario Media Development Corporation, and the Harold Greenberg Fund. Maple Pictures holds Canadian rights.
Myriad’s Cannes slate includes the edgy romance The Electric Slide, starring Ewan McCregor and Carey Mulligan, and the thriller Not Forgotten with Simon Baker and Paz Vega, which will be released in the US in May through Anchor Bay Films.
