Adam Green’s thriller Frozen is to get a two-week release via LoveFilm’s online and rental service prior to its retail release.

Lovefilm members will be able to watch the film instantly online via the LoveFilm Player and rent the DVD or Blu-ray from 1 Oct.

The deal is the first of its kind between LoveFilm and a major studio.

The film is due to get a limited theatrical release in the UK from Sept 24.  

Frozen is the story of three skiers stranded on a chairlift who are forced to make life-or-death choices.
