DVD service to expand in the wake of Amazon takeover
Subscription service LoveFilm is embarking on a recruitment drive to bolster its London workforce in the wake of its acquisition by retail giant Amazon in January.
The outfit is currently looking to fill various positions, particularly in its digital division, including the newly created role of software test analyst.
The company has expanded from less than ten staff in west London in 2006 to 380 staff in the UK as well as 106 in Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Simon Calver, Chief Executive of LoveFilm, said: “Following Amazon’s acquisition of LoveFilm we have created around 40 jobs at our London office, half of which are in the technology and digital sphere. In line with our constant digital expansion we are extremely pleased to continue to create new opportunities for people who are looking for careers that they can not only develop and grow in, but enjoy.”
