Asian action star Maggie Q has been cast opposite Paul Bettany in vampire horror Priest which Scott Stewart is directing for Screen Gems.

Adapted by Cory Goodman from a Tokyo Pop comic book, the film is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. It follows a warrior priestess (Maggie Q) and priest (Bettany) who turn against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires.

Q recently starred in Live Free Or Die Hard and Mission Impossible III. Her upcoming projects include segments in New York, I Love You, which is set for release in October, and a lead role in Tian Zhuangzhuang’s epic The Warrior And The Wolf.
