Gen Art is merging with Rock Media & Entertainment to create Rock Media, an entertainment company that will continue to produce content and events under both labels.

Scott Rosenblum of Rock Media will serve as RMGA’s CEO, Gen Art CEO Ian Gerard and Rock Media’s Nicole Purcell will act as the company’s co-presidents, and Gen Art’s president Stefan Gerard will be RMGA’s COO.

Gen Art’s film events and content continue to be overseen by Jeffrey Abramson, newly promoted to senior vice president, and Aaron Levine, who is promoted to associate director.

The 15th Anniversary Gen Art Film Festival will take place April 7-13 2010 in New York.. In addition to the ongoing Gen Art Screening Series and Cinema Circle programmes, the organisation will continue to create unique content deals including recent partnerships with Amazon.com and Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Gen Art also expects to return to the Sundance Film Festival with a robust slate of programming including the return of 7 Fresh Faces In Film presented by 7 For All Mankind.

The two merged companies will kick-off their inaugural joint event as RMGA when they will produce Gen Art’s 15th Anniversary Fresh Faces in Fashion show on September 15.
