Mary McGuckian will collect the Women’s International Film & Television Showcase career achievement award on December 4 in Los Angeles.

McGuckian has written, directed and produced nine films in the last four years. Her Amorality comedy trilogy will screen as part of the showcase, which overall will screen 20 features and 16 shorts from 18 countries.

The trilogy comedies comprise Rag Tale, Intervention and Inconceivable. Her credits include The Bridge Of San Luis Rey starring Robert De Niro, Kathy Bates and Gabriel Byrne.

The showcase runs from November 29-December 4 and will also honour the work of Elizabeth Grant, Nancy Kwan, Tegla Loroupe, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Betty Makoni, Nancy Carter and Christina Jennings.
