Robert Zemeckis to direct Denzel Washington in Flight for Paramount

Washington will play a commercial airline pilot who saves lives on an ill-fated flight and shuns the subsequent media frenzy in an effort to hide his behaviour on the night before the event. John Gatins wrote the screenplay.

Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald will produce with Zemeckis, Steve Starkey, and Jack Rapke under their ImageMovers label.

Zemeckis is represented by CAA, Washington is represented by WME and Gatins is represented by UTA.
