Low budget maestro Marc Price, the Welsh filmmaker behind the “£45 zombie movie” Colin, has begun work on a new feature, The Coffin.
The film, being made through Nowhere Fast Productions and sold by Helen Grace’s Left Film Sales, is is the story of an absent father who gatecrashes his young son’s funeral, steals the coffin, and embarks on a momentous road trip with his ex-partner and two friends. Production is now underway in London. The shoot moves to Swansea and Cornwall in the New Year,
The producer is Dominic Brunt, better known as an actor for his role as the vet Paddy in long-running TV series, Emmerdale.
Price’s Colin has now sold 23,000 DVDs in the UK and has been released in USA, Canada, Germany. The film is getting a theatrical release in Japan in March 2011.
