Marston's Blood sells to Australia/New Zealand

Fandango Portobello has sold Australia/New Zealand rights to Madman Entertainment for Competition title The Forgiveness of Blood by Joshua Marston.

Fandango Portobello has other territories in play on the film, which screens on Friday.

Marston’s follow-up to Maria Full of Grace is about how two teenage siblings are impacted by an Albanian blood feud.

The film stars Albanian non-professional actors, teenagers Tristan Halilaj and Sindi Laçej.  

Executive producer and sales agent Janine Gold said, “The filmmakers auditioned hundreds of local teenagers, during which process they heard many first-hand stories about families trapped in these feuds. The cast bring a level of personal experience which is captured in their performances and reflects the authenticity in which Marston grounds his films.”
