Match Factory has concluded two major deals on Ajami, the film that will close this year’s Cannes Quinzaine later this week.
Vertigo has picked up the title for the UK while Ad Vitam has pounced on it for France.
Other buyers are also circling the project, notable for its perspective on Palestine-Israeli relations. The film’s co-directors, Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani reflect the two perspectives of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The Israeli-German film was produced by Mosh Danon of Inosan Productions (Tel Aviv) and Thanassis Karathanos of Twenty Twenty Vision (Berlin).
