Andy Mayson, former chief operating officer at Intermedia, has joined London-based production and management company Artists Independent Network (AIN) as managing director.
Mayson joins the operation as it prepares to move into the US by setting up a New York office early next year and starting its own sales division at the end of this year. The former chief financial officer at Working Title Films was part of the team that took Intermedia public on the Neuer Markt.
"[Mayson's] experience, expertise and management skills will help us grow the business, both here and in the US, said AIN co-founders Charles Finch and Luc Roeg.
AIN, which has a client list including John Malkovich, Willem Dafoe and Harvey Keitel, has teamed with the UK's Momentum Pictures on The Romford Matador, written and directed by Piers Ashworth. The production is now casting, as is another AIN title, Who Goes There, to be directed by Ben Ross and star Billy Elliot's Jamie Bell.
