Sales company Media Luna Entertainment has added five new titles to its Toronto lineup, including Mijke de Jong's Katia's Sister (Het Zusie Van Katia) which will have its North American premiere in Toronto tonight.

De Jong's intimate portrait of a 13-year-old girl living in Amsterdam who loses her Russian mother and older sister Katia to the world of prostitution had its world premiere in the International Competition of the Locarno International Film Festival last month.

Media Luna's other new pickups for presentation at Toronto are:

Micha Lewinsky's tragicomedy The Friend (Der Freund) which was named Best Film at this year's Swiss Film Prize;

Buket Alakus warmhearted tragicomedy Finnish Tango (Finnischer Tango), starring Christoph Bach and Fabian Busch, which won the Audience Award at this year's Festival of German Films in Ludwigshafen and was released theatrically in German cinemas last week;

Jobst Oetzmann's intense drama Coxless Pair (Zweier Ohne) about a very special and excessive friendship between two rowers;

and

Detlev Bothe's dark and analytical snapshot of contemporary Germany in Tour Excess (Neben der Spur) which has previously screened at the Max-Ophuels-Preis Festival in Saarbruecken and the Montreal Film Festival.
