Organisers at the 30th Miami International Film Festival announced the five selections on Wednesday [13].
The films set to participate in the programme, designed to support the completion of US and Hispanic features in post via a $10,000 grant for the winning project are:
- All About The Feathers (Por Las Plumas) – Costa Rica;
- Darwin’s Corner (El Rincón De Darwin) – Uruguay;
- En La Caliente – The Cuban Music Revolution – US/France;
- Gypsy River (Rio Cigano) – Brazil;
- Liz In September (Liz En Septiembre) – Venezuela.
The winning film will also secure two years of sales representation from Spain’s 6Sales.
“Our programmer Diana Sanchez has an uncanny ability to find diamond-in-the-rough, unfinished projects that will soon be making waves at top international festivals once they are completed,” said executive eirector Jaie Laplante [pictured].
