Actor, Stars Of Tomorrow, 2009.
Socha has become the It Boy for indie British film-makers since his break playing a teen bully in Shane Meadows’ This Is England. Boasting a raw energy that makes his acting both authentic and compellingly watchable, Socha notched up supporting turns in several low-budget Brit films last year, including Duane Hopkins’ Better Things, Kenny Glenaan’s Summer and Samantha Morton’s The Unloved. He is also often to be found in the most interesting shorts, such as Daniel Elliott¹s Berlin winner Jade, alongside fellow Star of Tomorrow Aisling Loftus. He also starred in Simon Ellis’ award-winning Soft and fellow Star of Tomorrow Alex Winckler’s The Harvest.
A graduate of the Carlton Workshops, Socha recently wrapped a role in Dominic Burns’ 60-minute horror film Cut. “Acting is like therapy for me,” says Socha. “I love getting into parts that allow me to release emotions that otherwise would get me into trouble.”
