The Middle East International Film Festival, Abu Dhabi has announced that its fourth edition will run October 14 to 23. It comes as the festival calls for entries for narrative and documentary features and short films.

The third edition, which closed on October 17, was the first under new executive director Peter Scarlet (pictured), the former artistic director of the Tribeca Film Festival. It showed 129 films from 49 countries and attracted 31,000 people, double the attendance of the previous year.
