Roch Lerner, CEO of animation studio Millimages, has beennamed chairman and managing director of French distributor Bac Majestic. Millimagesrecently took a majority stake in the embattled distributor founded by JeanLabadie.

Millimages now owns a 51% stake in the company while Labadiehas decreased his interests to 25%. Labadie in turn now takes the post ofmanaging director of Bac Films, a subsidiary of the company.

Moving back to form after a difficult spell, Bac acquired aseries of films at the recent Cannes Film Festival including ClaudeChabrol's The Bridesmaid, animatedfilm Hoodwinked, Terry Gilliam'sTideland and a new Jim Jarmuschproject.

Bac also recently moved into sales handling documentary TheWhite Planet which is produced by asubsidiary of Millimages.
