South Korean sales agent Mirovision has announced sales from Pusan’s Asian Film Market, led by sales to Gaga Communications for Japan. The company has picked up Im Sang-soo’s Cannes competition film The Housemaid and sports drama Lifting King Kong.
Gaga Communications previously released A Moment To Remember, which was one of the most successful Korean films in Japan. The company previously bought other titles from Mirovision including Bong Joon-ho’s first feature Barking Dogs Never Bite, Kim Jee-woon’s wrestler comedy Foul King and the serial killer thriller Tell Me Something.
The Housemaid has also sold to O’Brother for Benelux and Lifting King Kong has also sold to Hwayea Media for Malaysia and Long Shong for Taiwan.
