MK2 has acquired rights to Pedro Gonzalez Rubio’s To The Sea, which will premiere in the Toronto Vision section later this week.

The sales company is handling all international territories excluding Latin America.

The film, which is about the relationship between a father and son, is produced by Jaime Romandia for Mantarraya Producciones. The company’s previous titles include Carlos Reygadas’ Japon and Battle In Heavenand Amat Escalante’s Sangre and Los Bastardos.

To The Sea’s cast includes Jorge Machado Castro, Roberta Palombini, their son Natan Machado Palombini and Nestor Marin.

The deal was brokered by Mathilde Henrot and Juliette Schrameck of MK2 International.
