Ben Stassen of nWave Pictures has sold another major territory on animated feature Fly Me To The Moon, which made history in Berlin last month as the first 3D film to screen as part of the European Film Market.
The latest deal Stassen has concluded on the film post-Berlin is with MK2 for France. MK2 is planning 'a big launch' for the 3D movie but is yet to confirm details of when the film will be released in France or on how many prints.
Meanwhile, a handful of leading independent UK distributors are also circling Fly Me To The Moon, which will be released in the US by Summit in the summer.
Brussels-based Stassen himself directed Fly Me To The Moon. He was recently nominated as Best European Director of the Year at the Cartoon Movie co-production forum for European animation.
