Momentum Pictures, the UK joint venture of Canada's Alliance Atlantis and Germany's Kinowelt, has confirmed it has picked up The Adventures Of Rocky & Bullwinkle and O Brother, Where Art Thou' for the UK.

David Kosse, managing director of Momentum, said that the Coen brothers' Cannes competition title will go out in September with a 10-20% higher p&a spend than any previous picture from the film-makers. Bullwinkle, an animation meets live-action picture starring Robert DeNiro, Jason Alexander and Rene Russo, is to open in October as a major release.

The two releases are expected to be influential in shaping the films' releases in other overseas markets. Universal Pictures, which sold the two pictures through London-based Universal Pictures International, is understood to have sold both titles in several overseas markets.
