Montreal-based ID Communications has bulked up its EFM slate with worldwide rights to Julian Starks’ documentary Journey To Sundance and Volker Wischnowski’s The Way Of St-James.
Journey To Sundance recounts the challenges of getting a coveted slot in the Utah festival and features contributions from Vin Diesel, Jennifer Aniston, Chaz Palminteri, John Malkovich and Salma Hayek.
The Way Of St-James shows the spiritualjourney undertaken by millions of pilgrims over the last 1,200 year to Santiago De Compostela in Spain.
The film has already sold more than 60,000 units in the German-speaking markets and is a timely title, given that the destination that annually attracts more than 100,000 visitors is expected to draw 400,000 this year due to a special midsummer religious holiday.
“Santiago De Compostela has been a source of fascination and inspiration for more than a millennium, and if we have our way, it will continue for some time to come,” ID principal Dan Shannon said.
“Our company continues to take a position in niche markets where titles have a demonstrable following or core interest group thatcan be successfully targeted through a variety of online and directmarketing sales initiatives.”
