Michel Morales has stepped down from his post as CEO of the Ludwigsburg-based production house Miromar Entertainment to concentrate on the creative aspects of filmmaking and will be succeeded by Peter Heizmann.
Morales, who co-produced the Heather Graham romantic comedy Buy Borrow Steal (known as Miss Conception in the US), has plans, apart from producing, to be in the director's chair for the English-language action film Car Pirates, based on a screenplay by Fred A. Wyler.
Other English-language projects being developed at Miromar are Isaac Florentine's thriller Manila Time and Mark Hammond's Asia-set thriller Counterfight, as well as the German-language comedy Hallelujah Hamburg - with The Tin Drum's Mario Adorf attached - and the biopic Ikarus on the life Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin, the pioneer of airships at the beginning of the last century.
Meanwhile, Miromar has confirmed that Oddlot International is handling world sales for Vicente Amorim's period war drama Good, starring Viggo Mortensen and Jason Isaacs, which is near to finishing post-production.
