CineEurope awards Cinema City International CEO with top award
Cinema City International CEO Moshe Greidinger has been awarded Cineurope’s International Exhibitor of the Year Award.
Greidinger will receive the award as part of the CineEurope awards luncheon on June 30 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre.
Cinema City International currently runs 885 screens in seven territories and intends to expand its number screens to 1,000 in the next two years.
Greidinger joined his family’s business in 1976 and served in different key roles in both exhibition and distribution. For the past 21 years, he has served as CEO of the group. In 1982 he headed the team that opened the first multiplex in Israel. The company currently operates 96 screens in the territory.
In 1997, Greidinger led the company into its Central Europe expansion which started in Hungary and then broadened to The Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia.

“From its humble beginnings as a family business and the first cinema in Haifa, Israel to the launch of the first multiplex in Israel to their expansion into Europe, Cinema City International are cinema exhibition forces to be reckoned with. Mooky is most deserving of receiving this year’s ‘International Exhibitor of the Year’ Award,” he continued.
