20th Century Fox's Moulin Rouge passed the $100m mark at the worldwide box office over the weekend, its total gross reaching $102.257m. Its domestic total after 19 weeks on release is $56.58m
The movie opened in Italy, Belgium and Norway over the weekend, taking $0.707m on 150 screens in Italy, $0.299m on 50 screens in Belgium and $0.166m on 26 screens in Norway. It also opened in Lebanon ($46,336 on nine screens) and Croatia ($34,515 on seven screens).
Those new openings join strong performances to date in Australia ($13.9m), the UK ($15.4m), Taiwan ($1.9m), Russia ($1.4m), Mexico ($2.7m) and Brasil ($1.5m).
Moulin Rouge next opens in France, Egypt and Switzerland on Oct 3 and Portugal and Poland on Oct 5
