The National Board Of Review Of Motion Pictures (NBR) will hold its annual awards gala on January 14, 2009 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
This year's gala will celebrate the NBR's centennial year. The body's president Annie Schulhof said members 'could not be prouder to continue our original mission of freedom of expression, film as an art form, and to celebrate the history, growth and future of cinema.'
Members will screen more than 300 films released in 2008 for awards consideration. Honourees will be announced on December 4, marking the beginning of the awards season.
