The National Society Of Film Critics will announce its annual awards selection followed a weighted vote in New York on January 8, 2011.
Sixty-one members are eligible to vote on any film that opens in the US during the year 2010. There is no nomination process.
Awards are allocated to best picture, actor, actress, supporting actress, supporting actor, director, screenplay, and cinematography
Should the Society choose to award them, awards will be announced for nonfiction film, foreign-language film, production design, experimental work, and Film Heritage award. The Society also recommends a list of films still awaiting US distribution.
The current chair of the Society is David Sterritt and this will be the 45th annual voting meeting.
