UK producers group Pact is working with NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) to help film and TV producers work on convergent or 'multi-platform' projects.
The tools the groups have worked on together include legal templates for multiplatform development, and a how-to guide for joint ventures.
John McVay, chief executive of Pact, said: 'Producers from both the TV and new media sectors have told us that they need a simple framework to help them to develop their multi-platform ideas. With the help of NESTA, the launch of this guide and these legal templates will be an invaluable resource, allowing more companies to create more truly convergent projects in the future.'
NESTA is also working with the UK Film Council on the $1m Digital Innovation In Film scheme.
