RyanMerriman and Mary Winstead have been cast in the leads for New Line's upcomingthriller franchise instalment Cheating Death: Final Destination 3.
An Apr 1 production start has been slated for the story, which takes place sixyears after the events of Final Destination 2 and centres on a high school senior who has apremonition of a fatal amusement park accident involving herself and all herfriends.
When the premonition proves to be true, those that survive the accident areforced to deal with the repercussions of their fateful escape.
Final Destination director JamesWong reprises his role on the project, and is producing along with Warren Zide,Craig Perry and Glen Morgan.
New Line's executive vice president of production Richard Brener and vicepresident Matt Moore are overseeing production for the studio, which plans torelease the picture in 2006.
Merriman's feature credits include this weekend's North American box officechampion The Ring Two, and Spin opposite Stanley Tucci.
Winstead also appeared in The Ring Two as well as Sky High,co-starring Kurt
