Julie Christie was named best actress for Away From Her, while Javier Bardem won best supporting actor for No Country For Old Men and Cate Blanchett took best supporting actress for I'm Not There.
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's The Lives Of Others and Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis tied the best foreign film race while, Michael Moore's Sicko won best documentary and Wes Anderson, Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola took best screenplay for The Darjeeling Limited.
Persepolis won the best animated category, while Ellen Page was named best breakout performance for Juno, Sarah Polley won best directorial debut for Away From Her and the cast of Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, which includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei and Rosemary Harris, won best ensemble.
