EXCLUSIVE: Global Screen pre-sells Wolfgang Beltracchi doc [pictured].

Ukrainian-based distributor 1+1 Media has taken all Eastern Europe rights to Global Screen’s documentary Beltracchi ­ The Art of Forgery.

The film charts the life and times of Wolfgang Beltracchi, who tricked the international art world for nearly 40 years by forging and selling paintings of early 20th-century masters like Max Ernst.

1+1 secured rights in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Czech Republic and Slovenia.

Fruitmarket and Tradewind Pictures produce in co-production with Telepool, Senator Film Produktion and Global Screen.
