Fifth edition runs Sept 20-22 in Los Angeles.
The fifth annual 3D Film and Musical Festival (3DFF) will take place in Downtown Los Angeles from Sept 20-22. The 3DFF is billed as the world’s largest all-digital 3D film, music and interactive media festival and will screen over 60 films.
Taking place at several locations around L.A., the festival, presented by RealD, 3net and LG Electronics, will open with the world premiere of thriller Spiders 3D, directed by Tibor Tackács and presented by Millennium Films/Nu Image.
The festival will also honour music and cinema personalities, including Quincy Jones and Montreux Jazz Festival founder, Claude Nobs, who star in Experience Montreux, a 3D documentary on the Montreux Jazz Festival that will premiere at 3DFF. Two more 3D concert films shot at the Montreux Festival will also premiere: Quincy Jones and the Global Gumbo All-Stars Live In Montreux 3D and Herbie Hancock, The Imagine Project Live in Montreux 3D.
Celebrity host of the festival, actor/director Thomas Jane, commented: “The art of 3D filmmaking continues to grow. 3DFF is humbled and honoured to host multiple film and music legends at this year’s event along with their exciting new 3D documentaries which are some of the best natively shot indie 3D films that the festival has ever seen in its line-up.”
