The Academy hierarchy said on November 26 the deadline for receipt of Official Screen Credits (OSC) forms for 86th Academy Awards consideration is December 2.

If a feature is released in Los Angeles County in 2013 and the completed OSC form and billing are not delivered by the deadline, the film will be ineligible for Academy Awards in any year.

Features have until midnight on December 31 to open in a qualifying commercial theatre in Los Angeles County and begin a minimum run of seven consecutive days to be eligible for 2013 Oscars consideration.

Entries in the animated feature, documentary, foreign language and short film categories are subject to special rules and qualifying criteria. The entry deadlines in these categories have already passed.
