Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn have been cast in actor Clark Duke’s feature directorial debut Arkansas, which VMI Worldwide will introduce to AFM buyers later this month in conjunction with Elisabeth Costa de Beauregard of Storyboard Media.

Duke wrote and will also star in the story about a pair of low-level drug runners (Hemsworth, Duke) in the Dixie Mafia who live by the orders of an Arkansas-based kingpin (Vaughn) whom they’ve never met. When a deal goes horribly wrong, deadly consequences will rattle the duo’s routine lives.

Principal photography is scheduled to commence in Alabama this week.

Patrick Hibler, Jeff Rice, Martin Sprock and Storyboard Media are producing. Media Finance Capital’s David Gilbery and Charles Dorfman, who also funded the film, will serve as executive producers alongside co-financier Hercules Film Fund, and Patrick Muldoon, Cindy Cowan, and Stephanie Celeb.

Executive producers include Rhea Films’ Paris Kasidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas and Jean-Luc De Fanti, Don Kee Productions’ Jason Allison, Michael S. Smith and Franchesca Lantz, VMI Worldwide president Andre Relis, de Beauregard, and Phil Kim.
