TÁR, Aftersun, RRR, All Quiet On The Western Front, The Fabelmans, Top Gun: Maverick, Women Talking, Decision To Leave and Argentina, 1985 are among 301 films eligible for Oscars this season, the Academy said on Monday.
The list can be found on the Academy’s website. There were 276 eligible films for Oscars last season.
To be eligible for consideration under rules for the 95th Academy Awards year, features must have opened in a commercial theatre from January 1-December 31 2022 and played for at least seven consecutive days in the same venue in at least one of six US metropolitan areas – Los Angeles County, the City of New York, the Bay Area, Chicago, Miami, and Atlanta.
Features must have a running time of more than 40 minutes. Best picture contenders must have submitted a confidential Academy Representation and Inclusion Standards entry as part of the submission requirements, although inclusion thresholds will not be required for eligibility in the category until the 96th Oscars season.
Nominations voting runs from January 12-17 and the Academy will unveil its nominees on January 24. The 95th Oscars ceremony will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories.
