The Solution Entertainment Group is launching sales at EFM this week on the neo-noir Sunrise which stars Alex Pettyfer and Guy Pearce and has begun production in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Martin Brennan (Zone 414, One Way) and Jib Polhemus (Expendables 2, The Mechanic) are producing in association with Pettyfer’s Dark Dream Entertainment.
Pettyfer (Magic Mike, Elvis And Nixon, the upcoming The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare) plays Fallon, a man who roams the land as a creature of the night while he comes to terms with the loss of his family at the hands of the brutal demagogue Reynolds (Pearce, Memento, Mare Of Eastown).
Andrew Baird, who reunites with his Zone 414 star Pearce and directs from the screenplay by Ronan Blaney (Boogaloo And Graham), said: “It’s humbling to work with one of cinema’s finest actors, Guy Pearce, for a second time. Alex Pettyfer is such an exciting and powerful adversary to Guy’s character to lead this darkly poetic tale of overcoming extreme personal tragedy and finding eternal peace.”
Pettyfer and James Ireland serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Matusow and Lee Broda, and And Kurt Yaeger.
The Solution Entertainment Group’s current slate includes MMA action drama The Beast In Me with Russell Crowe and Daniel MacPherson; in-house production Year 2 directed by Steven C Miller and starring Frank Grillo; animated feature Groove Tails written and directed by Bob Logan (Lego Ninjago) featuring a voice cast led by Jamie Foxx; and Longing, written and directed by Savi Gabizon starring Richard Gere and Diane Kruger.
