Premiere Entertainment Group has licensed North American rights on the Alicia Silverstone wedding comedy Sister Of The Groom to Saban Films.
Amy Miller Gross (Accommodations) wrote and directed the film which also stars Tom Everett Scott (truTV’s I’m Sorry), Jake Hoffman (The Irishman) and Mathilde Ollivier (Overlord). Miller Gross produced for Mandorla Productions alongside Andrew Carlberg and Tim Harms, with Silverstone serving as executive producer.
Silverstone (Clueless) plays a woman on a mission to stop her brother’s marriage to a younger French woman at a wedding weekend in the Hamptons.
Silverstone and Scott previously appeared as a married couple in 2017’s Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. Charlie Bewley, Noah Silver, Mark Blum, Julie Engelbrecht, and Ronald Guttman round out the key cast on Sister Of The Groom.
Jonathan Saba negotiated the deal for Saban Films with Elias Axume and Devin Carter of Premiere Entertainment Group on behalf of the filmmakers. Saban will announce release plans at a later date.
Premiere Entertainment handles worldwide sales and introduced the title to buyers at the EFM in February as The Pleasure Of Your Presence.
